AUTONOMIK - Autonomous, simulation-based systems for SMEs

The aim is to develop prototypical systems and solutions for SMEs that demonstrate feasibility, benefits and economic sustainability in different application areas. The aspired autonomy refers systems' abilities enabling them to adjust their behaviour appropriate to the new situations, environments or objections. Essentially, the projects are to build on the current state of the art in robotics and automation technology and ICT. New methods in modelling, simulation an display technology should be exploited.
The initiative was finished on January 30, 2009. Within the next weeks the best proposals will be evaluated and ranged by an independent committee. Once proposals have been selected and the projects approved, they should commence during the second half of 2009.
